01.11.19 || Roundtable on AI in the Financial Sector

 

Artificial Intelligence is disrupting many industries, including the financial sector. For that purpose, many regulators, academics, policymakers and industry participants are trying to unveil and analyse the challenges that this technology may portray. On 1st November, CAIDG hosted a roundtable discussion on these challenges. 

The roundtable was organized by the Centre, in collaboration with SMU School of Law, the Hong Kong University's Law, Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship LITE Lab@HKU, the Oxford Internet Institute's Digital Ethics Lab, and the University of Hamburg's Centre for Law, Finance, and Technology Project, and it sought to serve as a global platform for the discussion and presentation of cutting-edge topics and research on the benefits, risks, use cases and regulatory challenges of AI in the financial industry. It also sought to facilitate conversation between academia, policymakers and regulators from Singapore and other parts of the world.
