About the Speaker

YUM Shoen Yih

Yum Shoen Yih is Deputy Director for Cyber Security Programme Centre (CSPC) in the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore.

CSPC was recently created to provide consultancy and solutions to build resilient information infrastructure and systems including doing business safely on the Internet (Be Safe Online publication). Previously, he was responsible for cybersecurity at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) headquarters. His views to cybersecurity are derived from his extensive military (30 years) experience and aim to keep up with current and emerging threats. Thus this will also manage the risks cost effectively. His security practices enabled his organization to be resilient to achieve its national security missions. Prior to his cybersecurity appointments, he served as a naval officer in the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), attaining a rank of commander as well as head of a specialist branch in Joint Comms & Info Systems Dept of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). His naval service included more than 15 years of experience in managing multi-million dollar projects ranging from building naval ships and combat systems, to R&D projects in areas of cybersecurity and command & control communications. In his cybersecurity appointments, he has presented in international and local conferences in Singapore as well as overseas.

Associate Professor Warren B. CHIK

Associate Professor Warren Chik researches, writes and teaches in the areas law that intersect with Infocomm Tech, Digital Media, Data Protection and Disruptive Innovation. He is looking into issues relating to ‘Fake News’ or ‘False Information’ from both legal and non-legal perspectives.

 

Gino BELLO
Managing Director,

Gino Bello is a Managing Director of FTI Consulting and leads the Technology segment in South East Asia, based in Singapore. A computer forensics expert and certified computer examiner, Gino specialises in forensic collection, analysis, and reporting of digital evidence.

Recognised by Who’s Who Legal for Digital Forensics, Gino has over fifteen years of experience in Computer Forensics, Cyber, eDiscovery, and IT. Gino has led a broad range of matters including large-scale, cross-border disputes, high stakes investigations, arbitrations, and eDiscovery engagements in class actions and Royal Commissions. He assists in Cyber risk and incident response matters. Gino has led investigations into IP theft, information leakage, bribery and corruption, regulatory, and other employee-related misconduct.

Gino has extensive experience across a wide range of sectors, including construction, shipping, financial services, government, insurance, manufacturing, retail, and health.
A member of the ISFCE and a board member of the HTCIA, Gino has held Australian Government security clearances, has submitted expert reports and affidavits to Courts in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and the Philippines, and has completed postgraduate, undergraduate, and formal industry training in Computer Forensics. Gino has lectured at Melbourne University, has authored forensic policy for government, and provides commentary to media on Cybersecurity issues.


 

Ivan W C NG
Chief Operating Officer,
Asia Mobility Industries (AMI)

 

Ivan is Chief Operating Officer of AMI, a Singapore company focused on the electrification & automation of transportation, whilst building enablers for the autonomous vehicle horizon. AMI partners with various industry leaders (predominantly from China) as systems integrator and operator. He has 15 years of management experience and APAC regional leadership roles with Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Johnson & Johnson.

Additionally, he is also the Chief Operating Officer of Navinfo Datatech, AMI’s Singapore-based JV company with Navinfo, the largest mapping and telematics company in China. Ivan has an Executive Masters from Graduate Institute Geneva, Switzerland, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. 


 

Arianne JIMENEZ
Privacy & Public Policy Manager, APAC,

Arianne joined Facebook in January 2018 for the newly-created role of Privacy & Public Policy Manager for the Asia Pacific, and is responsible for leading Facebook’s strategy and engagement in the region on privacy policy and data-driven innovation. In her role, she is also responsible for analyzing legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy, and advising on the privacy implications of new products and features in the APAC region.

She brings both an academic and industry perspective, having specialized in privacy law for her Doctor of the Science of Law (J.S.D.) degree, which she obtained from the University of California – Berkeley School of Law. Her doctoral dissertation was on Working Towards a Data Protection Soft Law Framework for the ASEAN Region. She obtained her Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the same institution, where she obtained a Certificate of Specialization in Intellectual Property and Technology Law.  During her time in Berkeley, she was also a Graduate Tutor and a Research Assistant, focusing her efforts on legal research and writing, and US privacy laws.

During her legal career in the Philippines, from which she hails, she clerked for a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, worked as Legal Counsel and Data Protection Officer for a tech company, and taught law subjects at De La Salle University. She’s also published articles on intellectual property law and cyberlaw.
