28.03.24 || Mass Data Sharing in Smart Cities: Regulation and Governance of the Public-Private Interface

On 28 March, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Rule of Law Program hosted the promotion event for the highly anticipated report on "Mass Data Sharing in Smart Cities: Regulation and Governance of the Public-Private Interface". The report analyzes the governance challenges of mass data sharing in smart cities, where public services and administration increasingly rely on privately developed data-driven tech.

The authors of the report, Prof. Mark Findlay (former CAIDG Professorial Research Fellow) and Dr. Berenika Drazewska (former KAS Senior Research Fellow), presented the report and highlighted its key implications. The event also featured a thought-provoking discussion with the authors, moderated by Olivia Schlouch, KAS Programme Manager.

The attendees equally had the opportunity to engage in meaningful debate and network with scholars, practitioners and other experts in smart city, data and technology governance, fostering valuable connections within the field. We thank the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and all those who contributed to making this event a resounding success!
